George Greiner

Lifelong high-level competitive athlete. Trained in Muay-Thai with renowned trainer Colin Oyama and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Black Belt World Champion Giva Santana. I have sparred with opponents in both a cage and a ring. I have a thorough knowledge of submission grappling, wrestling and striking techniques, as well as fight strategy. This knowledge, combined with my lifelong interest in combat sports gives me a unique ability to understand the chess-match taking place in an MMA ring or cage. This will allow me, as a referee, to both protect fighters from injury and keep them engaged without interfering, ensuring an entertaining and fair fight. My main motivation for wishing to become an MMA referee is that I love the sport and wish to maintain an involvement, despite being a bit too old to actively participate as a combatant.
