Cung Le

As one of the first local promoters in amateur kickboxing, Cung Le redesigned BORN TO FIGHT to include a muay thai series, and MMA series. Over 20yrs ago, Cung Le and USH! Gear began hosting Sanshou and Muay Thai fights at venues such as Mt. Pleasant High School and West Valley College with special hosts such as the Wyld 94.9 Doghouse and with fighters such as Quintin “Rampage” Jackson, Kickboxing Champion Kathy Long, IKF and ISKA Champions Derek Yuen, Gary Owens, Travis Johnson, Bunkerd Fairtex, Michael Manaquil, and more. In 2007, the show was moved to the San Jose Civic Auditorium with UFC fighters Jon Fitch, Mike Swick, Josh Koscheck and more in attendance. This promotion has started amateurs careers in kickboxing and MMA and has helped build their careers by giving them a local platform to gain experience and for them to turn into professional fighters. The show continues to build prestigue due to supporting and helping build local talent, and currently is being held at the Saddlerack in Fremont. We have been fortunate to have been supported by the top local talent in the Bay Area attend our events to show the new fighters their support: Former and current Strikeforce/UFC Champions Cung Le, Cain Velasquez, Daniel Cormier, Luke Rockhold, Gilbert Melendez, Josh Thomson, and condtenders James Terry, Herschel Walker, Mike Kyle,Kyle Kingsbury and more! Every show has been sold out before the night is over, and continues to bring new talent and build muay thai and mma fighters. The history of Born to Fight is proven to do so, as several bay area schools have coaches or turned pro who used to fight on our shows – Chris Cariaso (Fight and Fitness), Evan Esguerra (True Fight Club), Brian Kuhn (West Valley College), Ivan Ramos (Maesh Striking Arts), Ed Carpio (Condition and Competition Kickboxing), Rudi Ott (Unlimited Kickboxing), James Fanshier, Jenna Castillo, Keri Taylor, Sam Spengler, Andrew Valladarez, Ky Hollenbeck, Adam Antolin, Roger Agtarap and more!
