California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Organization, Inc. 2013 Official California State Amateur MMA Championship Launches This Week

Santa Cruz Promoter Chosen to Play Host to This Year’s State Championship Finals


LOS ANGELES, September 10, 2013 – The California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Organization, Inc. (“CAMO”) announced today the final schedule for the 2013 Official California State Championship for Amateur MMA.  This marks the fourth year for the annual state championship event and the first year in which CAMO will also crown a champion in the 125 lb weight class.   CAMO will award title belts in nine different weight classes for 2013.  The best fighters in the state in the 125 lb, 135 lb, 145 lb, 155 lb, 170 lb, 185 lb, 205 lb, 230 lb, and 265 lb weight classes will all be competing in this year’s state championship tournament.

 

The opening round of the State Championship will begin this week with the Northern California Regional occurring this Thursday, September 12th in Tulare hosted by 559 Fights (http://camo-mma.org/amateur-mma-events/E625/559-Fights-17-CAMO-2013-CA-State-Championship-Nor-Cal-Rgnl) and the Southern California Regional taking place in San Diego on Friday night, September 13th promoted by Epic Fighting (http://camo-mma.org/amateur-mma-events/E610/Epic-Fighting-CAMO-2013-CA-State-Championship-So-Cal-Rgnl).

 

The state semi-finals will take place the weekend of October 11th.   Get Down Promotions will be hosting the Southern California Final on October 11th in Orange County and Titans Cage will run the Northern California Final on October 12th in Sacramento.  The State Championship finals will be hosted this year by Showdown in Surftown Promoter Christian Pellechia at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium on November 23rd(http://camo-mma.org/amateur-mma-events/E661/2013-CAMO-CA-State-Championship-Finals).
